Overview

An artist, writer and educator, Laura Millard has taught at the Alberta College of Art and Design, Concordia University, Georgian College, and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Laura has been teaching studio painting and seminar courses at OCAD since 1995. An active artist, Laura has exhibited in numerous public, commercial and artist-run galleries across Canada including the Art Gallery of Hamilton, the Art Gallery of Windsor, La Centrale, the Edmonton Art Gallery and the Kenderdine Gallery at the University of Saskatchewan. Solo exhibitions include the MacLaren Arts Centre, Saint Mary?s University Art Gallery, Articule, and Stride Gallery. Laura is represented by the Pari Nadimi Gallery in Toronto. An active writer, Laura has published essays on contemporary and historical artists. She has lectured on her work at numerous galleries and schools across the country including the Banff Centre for the Arts, the University of Waterloo, the University of Western Ontario, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, the Mendel Art Gallery and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
