Did you know that June is Ontario Bike Month?

With the 2015 Ontario Bike Month Act, Bike Month is part of a wider cycling strategy with big societal benefits. Cycling helps people develop healthy habits for life. These include a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise and reduced health care costs through the promotion of active living. Bicycling also reduces traffic congestion, increases economic development through cycling-tourism and plays a role in improving air quality for the environment.

Check out a whole month's worth of events hosted by Cycle Toronto and supported by the City of Toronto and other partners. Website: www.bikemonth.ca/Toronto

401 Richmond Street West and the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers are excited to announce the 401 Built for Art Nuit Blanche Career Launcher providing exhibition opportunity inside 401’s historic building to one public art project (installation, performance, etc.) during Nuit Blanche Toronto 2018 on September 29 2018 from 7pm to 7am.
Inspired by the entrepreneurial television series’ Shark Tank and Dragons’ Den, Dragon Tank aims to reproduce the absurd products pitched within them. With humour in mind, the artworks will function as vestiges of the most needed and most useless consumer products. In a time when ridiculous and nonsensical has become the norm, we are critical of the enigmatic ‘North American Dream’ capitalism offers to consumers and entrepreneurs alike. And question who this ‘dream’ is really for, in the context of race, gender, sexuality, and class.
