Call for Submissions to OCAD students: Scarborough Arts 31st Annual Juried Exhibition & Big Book Art.

31st Annual Juried Exhibition & BIG ART BOOK. This year's theme is Spectacular Celebrations and for the first-time ever, this call is open to visual and literary artists across Canada. The theme asks artists to question, reflect, or engage critically with the spectacle of celebration. The jury is comprised of professional curators and artists, and will look for works that: highlight moments of personal celebration or local community commemoration, reflect on a national celebration related to your own country of origin, or engage with the diverse forms of expressions elicited by spectacle and celebration.

Successful submissions will get published in the BIG ART BOOK (published online and in print) and will be exhibited at the Annual Juried Exhibition at the Papermill Gallery in Toronto. Outstanding submissions selected as Jurors' Choice award winners and will receive cash prizes of up to $2,000.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, December 5, 2016. More information about the Annual Juried Exhibition and BIG ART BOOK is available on our website. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with big@scarborougharts.com.
