The deadline for applications is Sunday February 3rd. Late applications will not be accepted.

Details:
The 2019 OCAD U Zine Fair will be held on Wednesday March 13th and Thursday March 14th from 11am -7pm. The event will be held in the lobby of 100 McCaul Street. The hours are later this year based on feedback from last year's vendors. Setup begins at 10:30am.

There is no vendor fee but we ask that you donate one copy of one of your publications to the OCAD U Zine Library. You can learn more about the OCAD U Zine Library and search our collection at http://ocad.libguides.com/zinelibrary

Table assignments are first come, first served, with a limited amount of wall space available. Each applicant receives half of a table (approximately 3 feet wide) and one chair. Applicants who wish to share their space must switch off with their table mate as fire code prevents us from adding additional chairs.

Applications will be accepted until Sunday, February 3rd, 2019. Priority will be given to current OCAD U students.

Death and Dying Discussions is a mini-symposium on design for end of life running in conjunction with DesignTO (Toronto Design Offsite Festival, January 18-27) and Health Design Studio at OCADU and Taboo Health. The symposium will provide an opportunity to share experiences of the changing landscape of end of life and open dialogue about the multiplicity of ways in which design collaborations might push the boundaries of design to engage with end of life issues. 
The new OCAD U Creative Professionals-In-Residence program is a mentorship initiative created to support the career success of current OCAD U students and recent alumni. This winter’s residents are Jessica Leong and Basil AlZeri.
A screening of the documentary, Muffins for Granny written and directed by filmmaker and Faculty and Curriculum Development Centre team member, Nadia McLaren.

20/20—from retrospect to prospect, a participatory Design Wo/ManiFesT.O. for the next decades Design is both an evolving and evocative creative process permeating all aspects of social, economic, and political life, and it is shifting the way our city operates, and functions. With human-centred values and diverse perspectives, advocacy, and calls to action, we are collectively and individually changing the social and physical fabric of Toronto, often with design as the catalyst.
Art and Design Education (ADEL): Community investigated various concerns around how we might achieve a healthier art and design education community at OCAD U.
OCAD U Faculty are invited to attend the 5th Annual Teaching Expo! 15 diverse sessions, united by the theme Teaching & Practice, will be led by members of the OCAD U community.
A keynote examining Education and Reconciliation by Dr. Mike DeGagné, Founding Director of the Aboriginal Healing Foundation and President and Vice-Chancellor of Nipissing University.

DesignTO’s fourth annual symposium brings 10 multidisciplinary experts into one room for an inspiring discussion on the Future of Work. The event features five thematic sessions on topics like meaningful work, inclusion and diversity, work space, economic systems, and ethics.
