Welcome to the exhibition, showcasing products from a participatory design collaboration between OCAD University second-year industrial design students and the Sewing Studio from the Toronto Centre for Community Learning and Development (CCL&D). A design class was held offsite in Regent Park as a way to have a truly immersive experiential learning opportunity for students. They were able to work with women from the Sewing Studio to produce bespoke textile goods to be sold at Centre of Opportunities for Regent Park Enterprises (CORE) as part of their livelihood.

In partnership with the Chinatown BIA and OCAD University, The STEPS Initiative is seeking emerging artists interested in gaining hands-on facilitation skills and supporting the production of a large-scale community lantern installation, part of Chinatown’s 2020 Chinese New Year celebration.
Join us for the reception for connection_found, an online exhibition curated by feelSpace, an ad hoc interdisciplinary curatorial collective based in Tkaronto at OCAD University.
The Learning Zone is currently accepting submissions for exhibitions in our gallery space between February 3rd and March 18th 2020. The deadline for submissions is Sunday January 19, 2020.
