Ignite Gallery, formerly known as OCAD University’s Student Gallery, is excited to open its second show in its new gallery space in Kensington Market with Galaxy Champion Fun Zone™, a two-person exhibition by recent alumni Qendrim Hoti and Max Lupo.

"Galaxy Champion Fun Zone™" uses the video game technology of the past three decades to create an interactive installation. By using hacked and modified video games, Hoti and Lupo insert personal migrant histories into existing virtual worlds as a means to recontextualize their familiar contents. They invite visitors to play these games as a way to explore these alternate characters and environments.

And we invite you to join us for the opening of this new exhibition on Friday, October 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. The artists will be in attendance. The event is free and open to the public.

The exhibition runs through November 4, 2017.
Ignite Gallery is located at 165 Augusta Avenue (in the heart of Kensington market).
