Gold Leaf for Beginners Workshop with Angela Tupper:
Students will create a drawing and learn the essential steps for applying gold leaf to their drawing. Angela will share her knowledge about various ways to apply the technique (e.g. over acrylic vs. oil paint, paper vs. canvas vs. wood panel) and the different steps required dependent on the kind metal leaf used. Most materials for the gold leaf process will be provided. Students should bring in drawing materials (preferably charcoal/chalk pastel), a small or medium-sized paintbrush, and ideas for imagery and/or reference images.

Workshops are open to current students at OCAD U.

This workshop series is presented in partnership by the OCAD U Library's Learning Zone and the Writing & Learning Centre and supported by funding from the First Generation Program, administered by the WLC.
