Ticket includes cocktail reception and private tour of the stunning Aga Khan Museum.  Guests will be treated to a private tour of "Marvellous Creatures: Animals in Islamic Art".  Meet the marvellous creatures of such classic literature as the Shahameh and Kalila wa Dimna.  Through an astonishing variety of media - including manuscripts, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, glass and metalwork from the 7th to the 21st centuries - the exhibition celebrates these real and mythical animals and illuminates the knowledge contained in the stories. A Man Named Pearl tells the inspiring story of self-taught topiary artist Pearl Fryar
This summer, Bonavista Biennale: FLOE is bringing works by 20 leading Canadian, Indigenous and international contemporary artists to the Bonavista Peninsula. This month-long event happens every two years, with exhibitions and site-specific installations at more than 20 indoor and outdoor venues. Visitors explore art, local cultural, history and the landscape on a spectacular 100-kilometre coastal loop. The 2019 artists are from Newfoundland, Labrador, other parts of Canada and the northeastern United States. The exhibition, artist talks, workshops and other events run from August 17th through September 15th.
