OCAD University Cultural Partner of Art Toronto

Art Toronto October 25–October 27, 2019

Founded in 2000 by Linel Rebenchuk, Art Toronto has grown exponentially. Today the fair is an integral event in the Canadian visual art sector, presenting work from over 100 international art galleries, and attracting more than 20,000 art collectors, professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world to Toronto. In celebration of a milestone, Art Toronto brings a fresh set of artists and galleries to the fair with FOCUS: Portugal, featuring Portuguese artists whose practices reflect and question our current global reality. The exhibition will be curated by João Ribas, a Portuguese curator with a uniquely global perspective, whose recent curatorial endeavours include the Portuguese Pavilion for the 58th Venice Biennale 2019.

Fair programming will also include: PLATFORM, a program of talks and panel discussions with prominent art industry figures, and POWER TALKS, an artist conversation series organized in partnership with the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery. Additional onsite features include curated project spaces, and an arts-focused publication lounge. Art Toronto is pleased to announce RBC as the fair's Presenting Sponsor, AXA Art Insurance and Samsung The Frame as Show Sponsors, the Ministry of Culture of Portugalas Institutional Partner and the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canadian Art, Gusto 54 Catering and Artsy as Lead Partners. Join in celebrating the fair’s 20th year at Art Toronto Opening Night, a benefit gala for the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), on October 24. Art Toronto runs from October 25-27, 2019 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
