Over the past 8 years at the Ontario College of Art & Design, Doug Panton has taken a particular interest in supporting cross-disciplinary design skills. He has had a successful career as an illustrator and a designer for over thirty years. Doug continues to receive assignments that require the design complexity of a multi-faceted project outcome, this has enabled him to experience and expand his competency in this area. With this industry experience it has allowed him to apply a methodology that further develops an interdisciplinary nature—where designers use illustration techniques and vice versa but most important an understanding of both disciplines.
