Last summer grOCAD celebrated their community garden bounty with a Salad Day event held in the Learning Zone. This year grOCAD will be joined by the Cooking Club, who will be making homemade and delicious salad dressings from scratch.

Join grOCAD and the Cooking Club at the Lambert Lounge in the Main Building at noon then take a walk over to grOCAD’s community garden to harvest greens for the Salad Day event.

It is free event open to all OCAD U Students. RSVPs are encouraged but drop-ins are welcome. Please contact Sarah at scree@ocadu.ca or ocadgrows@gmail.com.

Drop by and enjoy some salad, share gardening stories, or your favourite recipes and checkout some good reads on urban agriculture from the OCAD U Library.

Are you a recent grad or a final-year Graphic Design student at OCAD U? The Ubisoft Toronto Communications team and the Centre for Emerging Artists &Designers are excited to announce the Ubisoft Toronto Career Launcher.
The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce the return of Toronto Outdoor Art Fair Career Launcher award for students in the Illustration, Material Art & Design, Photography and Printmaking/Publications programs. Eligible students will have the opportunity to exhibit in the 59th year of this annual event; Canada's leading juried outdoor art fair. TOAF was established to nurture excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit, and to showcase contemporary work to the general public. This free public event showcases works by over 360 exhibitors and attracts 130,000 visitors each year.
Five emerging artists, working in a variety of mediums, will be commissioned to provide works of art to commemorate the listing of corporate clients or the launch of new funds on the NEO stock exchange.
Gallery 44 in partnership with the OCAD U Career Launcher program, are currently seeking a Curatorial Assistant. Reporting jointly to the Curator of Exhibitions and Public Programs and the Curator of Education and Community Outreach, the Curatorial Assistant will contribute to the development and realization of gallery exhibitions, workshops, and adjacent programming.

The future presents new challenges and opportunities for design. Those who manage design must equip themselves to confront rapid change on all fronts – economic, environmental, and social. Research and practice must increasingly collaborate to keep pace with the needs of today and the future. 
The OCAD U Creative Professionals-In-Residence program (CPIR) is a mentorship initiative created to support the career success of current OCAD U students and recent alumni. Join us for an introductory talk with CPIR Liz Irkiriko.
