Want to earn credit while exploring how to launch your socially innovative idea? Want to apply for a $100 seed grant to help with prototyping it? If yes, register for a new winter course called GDES-4007: Social Enterprise Catalyst. This course is open to third- and fourth-year students.
Students will research, write a proposal and pitch their own self-directed social enterprise project. Students will submit a proposal for a semester-long, self-directed project that has a social mission and commercial potential. Students will present their projects to potential investors and funders. The goal is to help students establish viable social enterprises positioned for launch after graduation.
This course is part of the new Social Innovation Design Pathway and can also fulfill requirements as part of the Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation Minor.
