The OCAD U Zine Library is celebrating our 10-year anniversary on November 14th and we are planning an exhibition that celebrates the amazing power of zines! We are looking for zines, original pages, cover art, sketches, and all things that go into the making of a zine.
The exhibition will run from November 6 – December 3 at the Learning Zone, home of the OCAD U Zine Library. We will be celebrating the exhibition and the anniversary at a reception on November 14th, from 5-8pm.
Please email ocadzinelibrary@gmail.com with 2-3 images of your work by Sunday, October 22, 2017. We are particularly interested in zinesters whose work is featured in our collection.
The OCAD U Zine Library was launched on November 14, 2007 by former OCAD U student and artist Alicia Nauta. Since Alicia’s graduation, OCAD U Library staff have continued to maintain and grow the collection. Over 2000 zines in our collection have been catalogued and are available to search and browse on our online catalogue, launched in the Spring of 2017.
The exhibition is open to the entire OCAD U community as well as to local zinesters. All materials for the exhibition will need to be dropped off and picked up in person, as we will not be able to return any materials by mail.
