OCAD University is proud to be participating once again in Scotiabank Nuit Blanche.  Our official programming will take place in Butterfield Park and at the Main Building at 100 McCaul Street.

To facilitate Scotiabank Nuit Blanche activities, the entire OCAD U campus will close early at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 4.  All buildings will reopen at their normally scheduled times on Sunday, October 5.

Come unbind your mind and contemplate the present, where reflections no longer exist in a mirror, but in the glow from technological devices. 

Featuring artists Grégoire Blunt & Emmy Skensved, Aryen Hoekstra, Lili Huston-Herterich, Lorna Mills, Matthew Williamson and curated by Stefan Hancherow.

For the duration of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, there will be no swipe card access to any OCAD U buildings and facilities.  All spaces other than those used for Nuit Blanche activities will be closed, including all personal offices and access to lockers.

For First Year Faculty & New Undergraduate Students

As part of O-DAYS! (Orientation), First Year faculty and new undergraduate students
accepted to OCAD University (OCAD U) will participate in this historic tradition each year

HOW?
Students: By introducing themselves with a self-portrait postcard and participating in their first on-campus exhibition. First Year
Faculty: Introduce yourself with a self-portrait postcard and meet your students face-2-face! Faculty postcards will be part of a silent auction to raise funds for First Year.

WHO? ALL First Year faculty and ALL new undergraduate students

MATERIAL: Substrate: card stock; size: 5" x 7" inches (12.7 cm x 17.78 cm)

MEDIUM: Your choice... pencil? charcoal? paint? photography? Don’t forget! Include (print) your full name and faculty on the back of your postcard.

DELIVERY: (FACULTY) Enclose it in an envelope and mail it (or drop it off) so that it arrives no later than Friday, August 22, 2014 *Incorrect sizes or substrate will not be accepted.

Student Union and Campus Life are looking to our students, staff, faculty and friends to make a difference!
Donate non-perishable FOOD items to OCAD U’s Annual Holiday Food Drive in support of the OCADSU Starving Artist Pantry.

NO clothing please!

If you can, please contribute and help us fill a box in support of our students in need!

The most needed items include:
- peanut butter
- canned fruit and vegetables
- dried pasta and tomato sauce
- lentils and beans
- powdered, canned or Tetra Pak milk
- canned fish and meat
- rice
- cans of soup or stew
- macaroni and cheese

Please bring your non-perishable donations to any convenient on-campus location:
