A night event hosted by the Advertising Program. The Creative Director Speaker's Series is open to all Advertising Students, interested students, admin and faculty who are interested in the field of Advertising, Graphic Design, Illustration and all Design streams.

On January 26, OCAD’s Inaugural Creative Director’s Speaker’s Series, was received by a packed house. Initiated by Sandy Kedey, Chair of the Advertising Program, this event was open to interested and eager Design students from all years and programs and of course, Advertising undergrads.

The evening was themed ‘‘A Closer look into the Ad industry’, wherein a panel of industry acclaimed Creative Directors shared their insights and perspectives to the ever changing and growing Advertising industry. As one CD said on the evening, “Advertising is not dead, it’s just different.”

Speakers were: Helen Pak- CEO,CCO, Havas Worldwide, Nellie Kim - Co-CD, partner, LG2, Jordan Doucette – ECD,Taxi Raul Garcia – formerly Capital C, Pearce Cacalda –Sr. Brand Lead, Jackman Reinvents and Derek Blais – VP, ACD,BBDO. (Derek could only attend Q&A)

Join us for a discussion on creativity and the generation of ideas, and an exploration of the possible relationships among technology, art, cinema, architecture, design and city landscapes.

We are distributing wristbands for available seats starting at 4:30 p.m. in our main lobby at 100 McCaul Street (1 non-transferable wristband per person).

Wristbanded guests must be in their seats no later than 6:45 p.m.. All seats not filled by 6:45 p.m. will be released to other guests. Limited overflow seating will be available with a live video feed from the event.
