Workshop:  Preventing Gender-Based Violence

March 8 1-3pm
Friday, March 8, 2019 - 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Gender-based violence is a serious public health and human rights problem with both short- and long-term consequences on physical and mental health.  What changes can support a future without gender-based violence?

Join The Health & Wellness Centre and Safety & Security Services for a workshop by White Ribbon, an organization dedicated to the prevention of gender-based violence and sexual violence. Themes of consent, healthy relationships, toxic masculinity, allyship, equity, and the transformation of social norms will be explored.  It will be a safe, nonjudgemental space for questions and discussion.

Students, staff, and faculty of all genders are welcome.  Refreshments will be provided.

Please RSVP to Sarah at scree@ocadu.ca.  Poster designed by Saloni Das.

O-DAYS! Student Union Consent Workshop

Thursday, September 6, 2018 - 3:30pm to 5:00pm

"Let's talk sex, love, dirty talk, desire, intimacy, rejection, and consent!
Join Ignite Gallery and BAD SUBJECT for a free activities-based workshop providing practical tools to understand consent. This workshop is presented from an anti-oppression and intersectional perspective and is facilitated by a volunteer from BAD SUBJECT.

BAD SUBJECT is a youth-led, grassroots, non-profit group that offers interactive, non-hierarchical, intersectional workshops designed by-youth-for-youth on “Consent” and “Media Literacy: Spotlight on Rape Culture”.

Changing rape culture into consent culture...one workshop at a time!

ABOUT IGNITE GALLERY:
The OCAD University Ignite Gallery, located at 165 Augusta Avenue, represents the current creative voice of all OCAD U students through exhibitions, events and community programs.

ABOUT BAD SUBJECT:
We are an educational initiative that offers activities-based workshops on Consent and relevant topics to youth, educators, and professionals.
