Great news!

 

3x3 Magazine has awarded GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE all to OCAD University Illustration students! 

 

Additionally, 6 other OCADU pieces were awarded HONORABLE MENTION or MERIT. All will be published in 3x3’s No. 15 Annual.

 

Also, 4 illustrations from OCADU students were selected for Creative Quarterly 52.

 

This brings our current tally of 2017/18 student awards to a record 57!

3x3 is the first publication devoted entirely to the art of contemporary illustration. Published in the United States and distributed worldwide, its sole interest is in sharing what’s shaping international illustration. Creative Quarterly is an international journal focussing on promoting the work of the creative community.

Creative Quarterly's journals represent current work in graphic design, illustration, photography and fine art.

Their year-end juried competition selects the top 100 entries from the year. Winners are exhibited in a New York gallery.

Creative Quarterly Journal is a publication that features some of the best work in art, photography, design and artists in all media from all countries.

For the Winter 2016 Edition (Creative Quarterly 45) the work of OCAD U Illustration's Sessional Instructor Doug Panton has been awarded winner in the categoy of Fine Art: Professional and the work of OCAD U Graphic Design's Sessional Instructor Anson Liaw has been selected as Runner-Up in the category of Illustration: Professional.

The winners will be exhibited in Creative Quarterly, on the newsstand Winter 2016. The winners and runner-ups work will be posted on the Creative Quarterly Online Gallery in Winter 2016.

OCAD University Illustration Program student, Jessica Stec has one of her illustration images selected as a Runner-Up winner for the Illustration Student category by the judges and publisher and design director, Charles Hively of Creative Quarterly, The Journal of Art & Design magazine and her illustration will be featured online for Fall 2016!

As well, Anson Liaw is a Runner-Up winner for The Creative Quarterly 44 and he will have multiple illustration images (5 illustration images selected) featured online for the Illustration: Professional category for Fall 2016!
