Guylaine F. Roy, Associate Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage — OCAD U’s University Champion — was given her first tour of the campus on Wednesday, September 13. As University Champion, Roy serves an important role in strengthening links between the Canadian public service and OCAD University. She will be working with key partners on campus, including the president, faculty and graduates, on opportunities for research, education and partnership with the federal public service.

During her visit, Associate Deputy Minister Roy toured the campus with President Sara Diamond, and met to discuss collaboration priorities for the new academic year and beyond. Roy also attended a special preview of Onsite Gallery, OCAD U’s newest contemporary art and design gallery, funded in large part by the Department of Canadian Heritage.

Guylaine F. Roy was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage in May 2017.
