A Professional Workshop Series with Lillian Chan: Part 1

Friday, December 14, 2018
12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Centre for Emerging Artists and Designers, 3rd Floor, 115 McCaul Street

Open to all DPXA and IMXA students.

This is the first of three workshops with Toronto-based animator and filmmaker Lillian Chan.

Lillian will be giving a talk about working in the animation industry and her interdisciplinary illustration and art work, followed by a screening and discussion with students. This workshop will also involve a special open critique session for OCAD DPXA Students working on a collaborative animation project with the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra (TYWO). Parts 2 and 3 of this workshop series will continue in the Winter 2019 term, with further insights on the animation industry and how to get your work out there.

About the TYWO – DPXA collaboration:

OCAD University has joined forces with the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra to create an animation set to the music of Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. This piece features animated shorts produced by OCAD U animation students and will be publicly presented with a live music performance at Mississauga's Living Arts Centre in May 2019.
