OCAD U participates in Union Station Holiday Market

Photo of Union Station Marketplace exhibition
Monday, December 1, 2014 - 6:00pm

The Center for Emerging Artists and Designers, working with the Photo and Publications programs, has created a retail shop and juried exhibition at the Union Station Holiday Marketplace. The temporary market on the first floor of the station runs through Sunday December 7 and features the work of 65 Toronto entrepreneurs.

“This is an outstanding venue for student talent from the Faculty of Art to showcase their work and participate in entrepreneurial opportunities, in a format that allows for many forms of exchange with the public. We’re thrilled for the partnership.” - Zev Farber, Manager, Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers.

The Toronto Star calls the Holiday Marketplace “a pop-up holiday shop with a twist.” It features small, local and online businesses in a busy location, making it easy for commuters to pick up unique and affordable gifts on the go.

The Union Station Holiday Market project leadership worked with Derek Liddington, Coordinator, Career Development, and faculty members Jennifer Long and Shannon Gerard through November to produce the exhibition and retail opportunity.

For hours and details visit the Union Station Website.
