Double Double

Double Double
Wednesday, July 2, 2008 - 4:00am to Wednesday, July 30, 2008 - 4:00am

The North York Central Library presents work by third-year photography student Joseph Cheung.

"'Double double' is a common phrase uttered in Canadian coffee shops. In life there are many doubles too, such as double rainbows, double trees, double crosses...

If there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, for two rainbows you can have two pots of gold. But how about one pot of happiness and one pot of good health?

You can see two distinct trees emerging from the ground. But are their roots in fact united as one?

The two crosses look like a spear and a shield. Symbolically they can represent for materialistic and spiritual, acting and thinking... Which one would you choose? Or choose both of them and put them to good uses?"
