The Senate is responsible for the establishment and regulation of academic policy, standards, and procedures at OCAD University. In particular, the Senate and its many committees are in charge of all matters pertaining to OCAD University’s academic resources, academic programming, academic strategic planning, student affairs, and any other such matters relating to academic issues.

Membership of Senate consists predominantly of senior faculty but also includes undergraduate and graduate student representation as well as a representation of the academic administration.

The Senate normally meets on the fourth week of every month during the academic year.

Call for Student Nominations to OCAD U Senate

Nominations are now being accepted for several student positions on the OCAD University Senate.

The Senate is the primary academic governing body of the university and, along with its many committees, it is in charge of all matters pertaining to OCAD U’s academic strategic planning, academic standards, student affairs, and any other such matters relating to academic issues. The membership of Senate consists predominantly of senior faculty but also includes student representation and members of the academic administration.

Students play a very important role at Senate.
Your voice is needed in all academic matters at OCAD University.
Participate. Represent Your Peers. Have Your Voice Heard.

Eligible candidates may submit a nomination for these positions until Friday, September 19, 2014.
