Attention Students!*

It’s that time of year again! We’re hiring student monitors to work during the 102nd Annual Graduate Exhibition (GradEx), which is open to the public from Wednesday, May 3rd 2017 to Sunday, May 7th 2017.

Student monitor shifts are available starting Tuesday, May 2nd 2017, and continuing through to Monday, May 8th 2016.

Work includes setup, greeting and directing visitors, and more! 

Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate 102 years of talent at GradEx and to work on a team.

Smart Serve Certification:
While not required for all positions is a bonus.

Training:
Students are required to complete a mandatory training session on Wednesday, April 26, 2:00PM – 3:00PM. This is a paid training session.

In addition, all monitors selected to work during GradEx will be required to complete an Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) online customer service learning module: http://access.cou.ca/#    

 

Student Monitor Pay Rate:
$13.38 per hour

The Marketing & Communications department at OCAD is hiring a team of student monitors to help with preparations for the annual Graduate Exhibition, which is open to the public from Friday to Sunday, May 9 to 11.

Student monitor shifts are available starting Tuesday, May 6, until Monday, May 12. Work includes hanging signage, setting up displays, counting, greeting and directing visitors, collecting surveys, selling bar tickets, take-down and more.

Smart-Serve training, while not required, is an asset.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see the Graduate Exhibition behind the scenes—-to see what you’ll be preparing for when you reach Fourth-year!

Students are required to complete an Orientation session.

*****OCAD U's Office of Diversity, Equity & Sustainability Initiatives is hiring for several positions for Fall 2016****

1. Sustainability Monitor
(help organize events, social media, do on-line research, help interview people to research how the OCAD U community advances sustainability on campus)

2. Social Media & Outreach Monitor
(host tables at events, run our Facebook, twitter & tumblr blog, attend social justice events around campus to tweet and take photos for sharing, other duties as assigned)

3. Diversity & Equity Monitor (International Students only)
Similar tasks to both of the above, especially open to International Students.

Please send us a resume AND a brief cover letter AND your IWSP eligibility form. If you only want to be considered for a specific position, then please indicate that in your cover letter.

If your resume does not have a lot of relevant experience, use your cover letter to show why you are interested in a job that is focused on promoting social justice on campus. You can tell us about previous volunteering or classes you have taken, or how it connects to your creative practice, as an example.

Rate of pay: $13.65/hr. Flexible hours, 5-10 hrs/week.

Students who identify as members of equity-seeking communities including Black, Indigenous and students of colour, students with disabilities, LGBTQQI2SA students, and students caring for elder or child dependants are particularly encouraged to apply.
