Introduction to Urban Beekeeping (1h)

In this presentation, our beekeeper introduces participants to the basics of beekeeping, reviewing the honeybees’ role in pollination and touching on the complex relationship between honeybees and humans. The group will be introduced to beekeeping tools, the inner-workings of their hive and what to expect for the upcoming beekeeping season.

This presentation aims to situate OCAD U's beehive within a global context and touch on the significance of urban beekeeping in today’s world.
