Brett Belcher' toy design student Rebecca Manoharan won a $5000 scholarship for her toy design! This night-light chameleon toy engages the ritual of bedtime for children. It dangles then retracts for a set amount of time, eventually turning off while helping children understand the difficult concept of time. Her toy evolved from garbage:) Students had to reclaim a toy from discarded material, to experience what it’s like to create.
From W.I.T. scholarship: "We loved that this product incorporated both a play experience while addressing practical parental concerns in a nurturing and fun way.”
