OCAD U Zine Library Celebrates Pride 2019

The OCAD U Zine Library celebrates Pride Month 2019 with a display of new and popular favourites curated by LGBTQ+ and supporting Learning Zone staff members. Each week we will feature a review relating to why a title was selected from the Pride zine display.

Come to the zine library's #DisplayYourPride button making party; Thursday June 13th at the Learning Zone from noon until 4 pm.. Make a button to wear or to share with your friends, 2 for $1.00. All welcome!

The OCAD U Zine Library is open to the public, Monday to Fridays, 10 am - 5:45 pm.

Zine Library Workshop Series: Linocut Printing

OCAD Zine Workshop Series: Linocut Printing
Thursday, March 22, 2018 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm

Take part in this introductory relief printing workshop using a sheet of linoleum to produce a simple two-colour linocut print, Thursday March 22nd at Library Services: The Learning Zone.

You will learn about the essential tools and materials needed for linocut printing, including step-by-step instructions on planning your design, cutting techniques, and application of multi-colour inks.

Offered as part of the OCAD Zine Library Workshop Series, funded by the First Generation Program, administered by the Writing & Learning Centre with support from the OCAD U Library. The Zine Library Workshop Series is open to OCAD U students. Free, including materials.

Maximum attendance is 12, first come, first served.

This intro self-publishing workshop will teach you steps in planning your publication, learn how to layout your file in Adobe inDesign, choosing a production method and setting a reasonable price for your work.

Offered as part of the OCAD Zine Library Workshop Series, funded by the First Generation Program, administered by the Writing & Learning Centre, with support from the OCAD U Library.

The workshop is open to OCAD U students. Free, including materials.

The OCAD U Zine Library is celebrating our 10-year anniversary on November 14th and we are planning an exhibition that celebrates the amazing power of zines! We are looking for zines, original pages, cover art, sketches, and all things that go into the making of a zine.
