/nest/ Call For Submissions


/nest/ is currently seeking written work and text-related artworks to feature in an upcoming exhibition based on the theme of TEXTURE. /nest/ is a platform for OCAD U undergraduate students to showcase diverse forms of critical essays, studio and process writing, creative writing and text-based works. We welcome works which express linguistic diversity and are inclusive of a range of student abilities, year levels and disciplines.

Only digital submissions will be accepted via the submission form: bit.ly/nestcall

Please submit a maximum of three works in any of the following categories:
Text & Image
Critical Writing (essays, reviews)
Creative Writing (fiction, non-fiction, poetry)
Studio Writing (artist’s statements, precedent analyses, research documentation, reflection)
Process Writing (sketch/process books; works in progress, drafts)
Other forms of writing and creative work will be considered.

Submission Deadline:
Saturday, April 20th by 11:59pm

Opening Reception:
May 2nd, 2pm-4pm

Exhibition Dates: 
May 1st - June 28th, 2019

Selected artists are responsible for their own materials. Installation assistance will be provided. 
This exhibition will be installed in the display cases on the 5th Floor at 113 McCaul St. from May 1st to June 28th, 2019.

The editorial board acknowledges the ancestral and traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe and the Huron-Wendat, who are the original owners and custodians of the land on which we stand.
