OCAD U students take part in the Global Strike for Climate Justice

On Friday, September 27, OCAD University students joined thousands of demonstrators who turned out to push for action on climate change. The event was part of the Global Climate Strike that called for wide scale mobilization to halt, mitigate and prepare for the climate crisis.

As an art and design University, OCAD U seeks and responds to the questions of our time to enrich our disciplines and act as transformative social, economic, environmental, and cultural agents.

A record 7.6 million people participated in events from September 20 to 27 in 185 countries, where participants were encouraged to walk out of their classrooms, workplaces and homes to join together in the streets to demand climate action and climate justice.
