Illustration Grad Jinke Wang unveils Food Themed Mural at New Liberty Village Longo’s

Mural of food illustrations
Wednesday, December 4, 2019 - 11:30am

OCAD University’s Centre for Emerging Artists and Designers (CEAD) are thrilled to announce a new large-scale mural by artist Jinke Wang (Illustration 18’) in the dining hall of the newly opened Longo’s in Liberty Village.

Created as a gathering space for people to come together, celebrate food, grab a drink at the bar, or a cup of coffee at the coffee truck, the dining hall space is part of a new concept store format that has been designed by Ampersand Studio for Longo’s, and features a wide selection of globally inspired locally sourced meals.

A request for proposals was announced in July 2019. Featuring a combination of traditional and pop cultural references, Jinke Wang’s fantastical illustrations were selected for their whimsical depictions of everyday urban life and its connections with food.
