Jasmine Angela So is an Industrial Design student at OCAD University with a strong interest in smart materials and wearable technology. Currently working on her thesis project researching upcoming trends in the retail industry, she is exploring emerging textiles and the application of biomimicry within apparel and upcoming wearable technologies.
Jasmine co-curated OCAD University’s 2016 Wearable Art Show and participated in Toronto’s Design offsite event showcasing a 3D printed prototype of a sustainable solution for embedding a microcontroller to a garment. She has also participated in a Fashion Wars competition for avant garde line of clothing. Jasmine enjoys, snowboarding, hiking and yoga.
