Beyond Borders - part of CONTACT

Moving and still images created by OCADU students defy or define borders.

DateThursday, May 16, 2019 - 8:30am to Friday, June 14, 2019 - 12:00pm

Cost

Free

Location

100 McCaul St. 2nd Floor - The Great Hall

The lens inherently creates a border between artist and subject. Simultaneously, it provides a platform to describe, transcend, and transgress physical, societal, political, personal, historical, cultural, racial, and gendered constructions. While some choose to bridge borders, others may explore their defined edges. The still and moving images in this exhibition flirt with the thresholds of borders we so often struggle to define.

Curated by Michelle Astrug, Charisse Fung, Meera Margaret Singh, and Jenny Zhang
