Call for submissions: Rooftop Public Art


Want to create a new work of public art or design which will be seen by thousands of people? Have an idea for a large rooftop installation? Need a big budget to realise your dream project? Submit your expression of interest to be considered for this one-of-a-kind opportunity to create a public artwork representative of the voice of the Waterfront community.

PROJECT INTENT
The Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre (WNC), the Friends of the Pan Am Path (FOPAP), in collaboration with OCAD University present, “ROOFTOP”, a large-scale creative placemaking commission project, to complement the WNC’s upcoming solar panel installation this spring. 

BUDGET
Artist Fee: $5000
Production Budget: $20,000

STAGE 1 SUBMISSION DATE: May 14, 2018 @ 4:00PM

The competition is open to OCAD U students and alumni. The artists and designers are asked to consider the landscape, local community and the essence of the neighborhood’s past, present and/or future in their design.

Code4Lib isn't entirely about code or libraries. It is a volunteer-driven collective of hackers, designers, architects, curators, catalogers, artists and instigators from around the world, who largely work for and with libraries, archives and museums on technology "stuff." It started in the fall of 2003 as a mailing list when a group of library programmers decided to create an overarching community agnostic towards any particular language or technology.
