The second year Inclusive Design graduate students  invite you to our Summer Intensive exposition - Diverging from The [Main] Stream. Students from the Inclusive Design program will be exhibiting their current work and research in the Ada Slaight student galleries located at 100 McCaul St. from noon until 7:30 pm on Friday July 13. The students are looking forward to receiving feedback on their research. Please see poster with more information. All are welcome.

Multi-Sensory Exposition

In association with the Third Conference of the International Association for Cognitive Semiotics (IACS3—2018) please join us at the Multi-Sensory Exposition taking place in the Ada Slaight Gallery this weekend. Kicking off Friday July 13, join us for our opening reception from 2:35 pm until 3:20 pm. On Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15 the gallery will be open from 10 am until 2 pm. All are welcome.

Prefix ICA welcomes you to celebrate the holiday season and to take a peek at the work-in-progress of our first artists-in-residence: Aaron Jones, Cameron Lamothe, Joel Lee and Bidemi Oloyede. 
All students are invited by the OCAD Student Union to join in a Winter Wonderland evening to gather, exchange stories, food and music.

For furniture makers, it is not always the object alone that is pursued. As students at OCAD University, we are encouraged to look beyond the final object, to explore and to develop our thinking around the context. The role of furniture as a medium for personal expression, as a reflection of social and cultural norms, and as an influence upon human behaviour becomes the focal point. This exhibition presents original furniture pieces that take these broader discussions into consideration. Growth requires exploration, the goal is to plant the seeds of passion rather than ego. This annual exhibition of furniture created by the students of OCAD University is now in its eighth year and has become a valued tradition within the school’s design department.
