For This Land: Inside Elemental
Janet Rogers and Jackson 2Bears
Presented with imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival

As part of the For the Land series, 2Ro Media’s Mohawk creators and producers, Jackson 2bears and Janet Rogers, offer a fourth edition to the growing series of media installation/performance offerings. Inside Elemental will bring our four known elements (fire, water, earth and air) and their representations into Onsite Gallery including a fifth element by way of ‘man’ extending beyond the self and honouring the extensive reach of nations which leads to the self. As with previous incarnations of For This Land, the duo will produce a new multi-channel media installation, this one shot at Six Nations of The Grand River. Inside Elemental works with concepts around bringing the outdoors, indoors and erasing objects, elements and traditional understandings which separate the two.

Also on view is raise a flag: works from the Indigenous Art Collection (2000 - 2015).

This exhibition is supported with graphic design by Fernando Ciccotosto.

imagineNATIVE Media + Arts Festival
