LocationAuditorium 100 McCaul St., Toronto, Ontario
This annual event features homemade robots in a variety of competitions: tug of war, dancer/painter, autonomous and full out, head to head combat! Long before robot wars and other similar robotic events that are commonplace today, the SUMO Robot Challenge features OCAD artists, designers, local high school students and the general public pitted against each other in competitions that push the limits of their imaginations, electronic, mechanical and fabrication skills. Begun in 1992, the SUMO Robot Challenge is an adrenalin-packed event that is not to be missed! Open to the OCAD community and the general public. All proceeds raised from the event go towards scholarships for OCAD students.
