Talking Wellness at OCAD U, is a project and exhibition by Pam Patterson's Art and Design Education Lab (ADEL): Community investigating various concerns around how we might achieve a healthier art and design education community at OCAD U.

Join students, Angie Ma and Nataly Kais with faculty and staff members Pam Patterson, Robyn Shaw, and Marta Chudolinska to learn about the original premise and organization of the Talking Wellness project, an investigation into the wellness experiences of students at OCAD University. This talk will cover the ADEL students research experience and hanging of the exhibition along with OCAD U's Health & Wellness Centre's collaboration, and the Learning Zone's role and participation.

Talking Wellness is part of Research Wednesdays speaker series presented by the OCAD U Library. It's a forum for anyone (undergrad, or graduate students, staff, or faculty) to present in a casual, supportive environment about research activities, collections and more. We apply a broad definition of research which includes a variety of activities within the domains of art, design, libraries and archives. This event is open to all members of the OCAD U community as well as the general public.

Professors Saskia van Kampen (San Francisco State University) and Cheryl Giraudy (OCAD University) received a Canada SSHRC Partner Engage Grant Grant for their 2-year Toronto based research project Design Wo/ManifesT.O. 2020.  The research team has partnered with New Orleans-based, non-profit-Colloqate Design https://colloqate.org/ for a “Creative Practice and Placemaking (CPP) Workshop” organized for Saturday January 11, 2020 at OCAD U.

Open life drawing session offered by the OCAD U Alumni Association
Monitoring presents twenty art installations out of more than 300 international submissions. It provides a platform for time-based media art in the three-dimensional space as a complement to the film program of the festival. The exhibition at Kasseler Kunstverein investigates, among other things, structures of power and exclusion, order as a social and aesthetic principle, as well as the possibilities and limits of artistic strategies.
