Hope for Alzheimer’s

For World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21, INSTUDIO asked 2016 Illustration grad Jean DeMers to consider what it might mean to live with the disease. Jean chose to focus on new possibilities for symptom management. “Instead of dwelling on the loss that comes with Alzheimer’s,” he writes in his artist’s statement, “connections can be made through the use of physical and digital artifacts. Recalling events in this way makes memories tangible, while also meaningfully engaging all involved.”
