The Creative City Campus renovation to the Fabrication studios requires a complete power shut down to MCA 100 McCaul St. in order to transfer power from the old system to the new system. To facilitate the work, which will take several hours, the University must close the 100 McCaul St. building 2 hours earlier than usual on Friday, November 1, starting at 10 p.m. Power will be shut down until approximately 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 2.

The Campus Planning & Projects Team understands that this shut down impacts students during a busy period of the term. This work has been scheduled to minimize the impact on the OCAD U community by avoiding the 24/7 access period, which begins on November 6.

Note that the early closure only applies to MCA 100 McCaul St. Other buildings on campus will continue to operate during their regular operating hours. That said, the power shut down will impact swipe card access panels. Call 416-977-6000, Ext. 366 to request entry to spaces as per regular operating hours. You will be required to present your OCAD U ID to guard personnel.

Questions and concerns can be sent to creativecitycampus@ocadu.ca
