Weather permitting, additional elements of the scrim will be installed on the exterior of the Experiential Learning Centre in the Rosalie Sharp Pavilion at 115 McCaul St. this Saturday, January 19. Should weather prevent installation on Saturday, the work may be moved to Sunday, January 20.
The installation requires that the main entrance on McCaul Street to the Experiential Learning Centre be closed periodically to facilitate the safety requirements of lifting sections of scrim onto the exterior of the building. During these closures, students accessing the thesis spaces on Levels 1 and 2 may enter through the north entrance on Dundas Street by presenting their ID cards to personnel on site.
Note that these brief closures impact the accessible entrance to the building. During these closures, no one will be able to access the elevators that service the building. Two lifts are planned, and each lift will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Additionally, the laneway between the Art Gallery of Ontario and OCAD University’s main building at 100 McCaul St. will be entirely closed to facilitate the crane positioning.
OCAD U thanks our community members and neighbours for their patience as this work is completed. Questions or concerns may be directed to the Creative City CampusProject Team at creativecitycampus@ocadu.ca.
