GLOBAL EXPERIENCE PROJECT
The Global Experience Project is a 0.5 credit, independent study which will run during the winter-term in 2017. The GEP course will be led by Paulette Phillips and Derek Liddington featuring UK artist Isaac Julien. Known for his politically groundbreaking work in film, video and installation, this class will examine Isaac’s poetic investigation into history, space, place and self.
Successful students will come together to creatively respond to the themes resonant in Isaac’s work, will gain access to the behind the scenes installation of his upcoming show at the ROM, attend events related to Isaac’s work in Toronto and his Images Festival Screening and travel to Isaac’s studio in London, UK.
