OCAD at Ontario Universities Fair

OCAD begins another year of student recruitment with the Ontario Universities Fair, September 28, 29 and 30 at the Metro Convention Centre. The fair provides a great opportunity for prospective students to collect information about the post-secondary choices Ontario's university system offers. The event attracted over 80,000 last year and gives OCAD faculty, alumni and administrators a chance to discuss the benefits of a visual art and design education.

Mirage( the Sudden Appearance of Many Marys)

instructor Vessna Perunovich will present her newest performance piece "Mirage( the Sudden Appearance of Many Marys)" at the Toronto International Art Fair, Opening Gala Event.The project has been developed in colaboration with choreographer Zoja Smutny and costume designer Vanja Vasic and is produced by Bjoranson Kajiwara Gallery from Vancouver, BC.

OCAD U Zine Fair

The OCAD U Zine Fair is back for its 8th year! Come meet creators from the OCAD U zine community and check out zines, prints, comics and more for sale. This year, for the first time, the Zine Fair will be on for two days and include more vendors than ever before. 

March 9th & 10th
11am - 6pm 

The Zine Library will be hosting button making at the event. Make your first button for free! After that you can make four for $1. All proceeds from button making will go to growing the OCAD Zine Library collection, particularly in under-represented areas.

The OCAD U Zine Collective's Self Care for Artists & Deigners zine, featuring submissions from the OCAD U community and funded by the Student Union, will debut at the fair.

30th Annual Book Arts Fair

OCAD University’s printmaking department presents the 30th annual Book Arts Fair. Come and browse the uniquely handmade and crafted works by many book artists, printmakers, artists, small publishers, students, professional artists, papermakers and printmaking suppliers.

This is a fundraiser! The money raised by donation and raffle tickets goes to the upcoming year’s students awards and initiatives in the OCAD Printmaking Department. Suggested donation of $5.00 (or more!)

MOCADU

Join us in celebration of Movember. MOCADU will be hosting a Movember themed event to raise awareness of cancer in the community.

Tuesday November 11, 8 p.m. to midnight @The Local Gest, 424 Parliament St.

Tickets are $3.00 at the door. Purchase ticket with valid OCAD U I.D. for drink and food specials.

 

REDUCE.REUSE.RECYCLE

Third Time's a Charm presents REDUCE.REUSE.RECYCLE, a charity art show. The event will raise money for the Riverdale Housing Action Group and the fight against homelessness. The goal of this event is to create support services for Riverdale and to create a dialog between the community and artists. All of the artists are creating art for recycled materials, taking used products from the home to help build homes for others. The night will include a silent auction, music, art and warm fall drinks.

OCADPopped Presents 49 MaCaul, A silent student auction and art competition. This event is designed to give students a chance to network with community members and colleagues while having the opportunity to sell their work. The students' works will be juried by you and the selected best artist will win a cash prize.

Get Your Geek On TO is a science fair style event celebrating everything geeky in Toronto.
