Veronika Szkudlarek will be speaking on a panel for Columbia University at the FATE 16th Biennale hosted by the Kansas City Art Institute. This event is taking place this upcoming weekend from April 6th to April 10th.

Veronika's newest work has concurrently been curated into the exhibition The Models Origin: Beyond the Core at The Kansas City Institute for Contemporary Practice.

The work will be on display from March 24th - April 15th.

A new generation of artists and designers are expanding traditional constraints by incorporating emerging technologies and tangible maker practices, bringing studio and design thinking closer together (Maeda, 2013. Today, artists, designers, and practitioners have been challenged to research and develop approaches to teaching that balance fine art and design with digital-making.  We argue that it will be vital to develop flexible and creative ways to balance the effective implementation of technology and hands-on learning in order to promote the importance of studio and design thinking for meaningful collaborations and dialogue.
