Illustration Art Exhibit - Anson Liaw

Wednesday, July 1, 2015 - 4:00pm to Monday, August 31, 2015 - 4:00am

Anson Liaw was invited to exhibit 10 pieces of his framed illustration artwork at Rainbow Cinemas Market Square Art Gallery located at 80 Front Street East in downtown Toronto.

From July 1 to August 31, 2015, he will be displaying 10 selected pieces of my illustration artwork at the Rainbow Cinemas Art Gallery which is located in the St. Lawrence Market neighbuorhood in downtown Toronto. His artwork will be in the main lobby of the theatre.
Rainbow Cinemas Market Square is located at 80 Front Street East at Jarvis Street in Toronto, Ontario. When viewed from Front Street with St. Lawrence Market behind you, you will see the Rainbow Cinemas sign inside the walkway.

Being that this art exhibition is held at an art gallery space within a movie theatre, Anson found that it is fitting for him to exhibit a selection of illustration artwork that resonates a magical, dreamy and yet compelling vivid connection to viewers in relation to films, music, books, entertainment and performance related subject matter in general in an iconic manner visually. And in turn and like many illustrator artists do, enlighten people that behind the obvious and familiar iconic imagery in the world around us that there are always imaginative possibilities that there's more than meets the eye and mind in every iconic image and/or subject matter. Anson's goal to transform iconic familiar everyday scenarios and objects
All the illustration artwork featured in this exhibition are rendered predominantly with chalk pastel on archival printmaking and drawing paper.
