OCADIATOR's ride the Big Bike

OCADIATORS
Friday, June 6, 2008 - 4:00pm

On Friday, June 6, twenty-nine OCAD staff members will get on board the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s “Big Bike” and pedal roughly three kilometres beginning at Toronto General Hospital. The Big Bike event is named after the unique 30-seater bicycle ridden by enthusiastic teams of riders through 200 communities across Canada.

The “OCADIATORS” hope to raise approximately $2,500 towards the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s important work advancing research, promoting healthy lifestyles and advocating for heart health. To support OCAD team members, visit the team's online pledge page (below) and come out and cheer for them on June 6 at noon, as they pour their hearts into it!

Human hearts are a living object ‘ gift of life’ and a technological one. Successful transplanted patients give ‘token objects’ to the cardiologist who cannot part with them. Here, the role of objects is dramatically manifested as they intervene in life processes, inter-relations and the limits of being human.
