INFO SESSION: CROS 3008 Art & Design Education Lab: AGO

CROS 3008  is offered in the 2019 winter term on Wednesdays from 11:50 AM - 5:50 PM (1.0 credit) in conjunction with the Art Gallery of Ontario. Students learn both interpretive and studio teaching within the gallery and in relation to Ontario Curriculum guidelines.

Come to the info session and have a snack. At the info session, you can also meet other Art & Design Education students and see the Art & Design Education: Community fall exhibition project Talking Wellness OCAD U!

Information Session: CROS 3003 Gibraltar Point, A Living Lab

CROS 3003 Gibraltar Point, A Living Lab, is a unique interdisciplinary course open to students in all program areas including graduate studies. This week long residency embraces collaborative and community building methodologies within studio production.

Students taking this course will live and work for one week at the Artscape Gibraltar Point Arts Centre, located in the Toronto Island Park, 230 hectares of unique and diverse Carolinian forest, with a community of 750 residents, located minutes from downtown Toronto by boat.

Students interested in finding out more about this unique opportunity should come to the Information Session:Tuesday, April 3rd at 12 noon in room 415.

Residency live in dates are May 25th to June 1st

Subsidies are available for assistance with the accommodation fees, please enquire.

The GradEx information forum for graduating students is Wednesday, March 29. 

This forum will have essential info about your participation in GradEx. Learn what the 102nd Annual Graduate Exhibition is all about and how you can capitalize on 40,000 people coming to see your work. the forum will cover the schedule of events, how to book equipment, and safety and security rules, among other important things you to need to know. An info package will be sent to you soon via your student email.

Information session for students interested in registering for: LandMarks 2017

Wednesday, November 23, 2016 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm

This course frames a critical context that marks a multifaceted dialogue about land and the occasion of 150 years of Canada, pointing to futures and to much longer histories.  Students will engage in conversation with curator Tania Willard and artists, Camille Turner and Cheryl L’Hirondelle, resulting in the installation of public artworks in Parks Canada sites and in an online platform.

2017 First Capital Realty Public Sculpture Competition. First Capital Realty, Canada’s leading owner, developer and operator of supermarket and drugstore anchored neighbourhood and community shopping centres, has made a substantial commitment to sponsoring a public sculpture competition available to all OCAD U students currently enrolled in 3rd and 4th year, Graduate Studies students, as well as recent graduates. Through this competition, in its 6th year running, First Capital Realty is offering the career defining opportunity of producing a sculptural work that will be prominently displayed on an exterior site of one of their shopping centres. 


The winner receives a $5000 prize, plus fabrication budget

Finalists each receive $350 materials budget
