First Capital Realty Public Sculpture Competition 2015: Info Session

ATTENTIION all third- and fourth-year OCAD U students, and recent graduates!

First Capital Realty, Canada’s leading owner, developer and operator of supermarket and drugstore anchored neighbourhood and community shopping centres, has made a substantial commitment to sponsoring a public sculpture competition available to all OCAD U students currently enrolled in third- and fourth-year, as well as recent graduates. First Capital Realty is offering the career defining opportunity of producing a sculptural work that will be prominently displayed on an exterior site of one of their shopping centres. In addition to providing an OCAD U student/recent grad with this fantastic opportunity, one of First Capital Realty’s main goals of this collaboration is to "add aesthetic value to the property/ies and to enhance the experience of visitors to its centre."

Flu Clinic and Wellness Fair

Open to all members of the OCAD U Community (students and staff).

Vendor Services:

You will have the opportunity to speak to many health professionals, gather literature, as well as pick up health promotional samples at displays that will be set up for you including:

  • Flu-clinic -  in partnership with IDA, Pharmacy by Grange Rexall
  • Toronto Public Health – Nurses will be available to speak with you on sun safety, tobacco cessation, nutrition promotion, physical activity, sexual health, and injury prevention
  • University Ave Dental Clinic -  promoting oral health
  • Heritage Safety -  Conducting respirator fit testing; students and staff can bring in their existing respirators and get fit-tested.  We will also have some respirators and PPE available as give-aways
  • Employee EAP/Benefits (RBC Insurance) - Come learn about the services covered under the employees benefits program, including the new Perkopolis program
  • Student Union - Leave the Pack Behind (smoking cessation)
