While designed for those students participating in OCAD U's Student Mentor ProgramandFirst-Generation Programming, this activity is open to all new students, allowing them another opportunity to meet face-to-face and engage and connect with peers before the semester gets into full swing. O-NIGHT! is a welcoming party hosted by MxD - OCAD Dance, with support from the OCAD Student Union (OCADSU). Designed to provide new undergrad students the opportunity to continue connection and integration, creating those oh, so important, peer-to-peer relations! Get familiar with student-run initiatives coordinated by MxD and our collaborating partners, as well as learn more from upper-year students.
If you like music and smiles, then join us in MxD, where no matter how good you are (or not) at dancing, you are guaranteed to have some fun. So join us! You won’t only become more confident, but you will have a new skill that is calming and entertaining! Learn more about student-run clubs on campus.
Join us at the OCAD Student Union Open House learn more about the Student Union, check out the space, learn about our services, and meet the team. We will be officially opening up our new office to students and we're excite to meet you! Here you are welcome to spend time year round whether working on class assignments or needing a quiet place to relax. We will be opening the space with a land acknowledgement, raising a mock-tail to the start of your new chapter, serving snacks, and providing a space to chill and mingle before you head off to check out O-NIGHT! with MxD.

COMPASS is a two-day orientation specifically for First Generation Students, that is, students whose parents did not attend university, or did not attend university in Canada. It is an opportunity to meet other students, faculty and upper year students and get a head start at OCAD University. We will be doing a mock critique, discussing time management strategies, learning more about your program and getting to know the campus. Lunch and snacks will be provided!
We recommend that you attend both days as each day has different activities. However, if you can only attend one day that is not a problem! If you would like to attend or have any questions Please email Savindi at email@example.com in order to register to attend.

This O-DAYS! activity is designed as an informal social opportunity to connect those new undergrads who may wish meet and connect with others in advance of the Labour Day weekend and BIG-O Day! (Tuesday, September 6). This activity is co-hosted by Student Mentor Program and OCAD Student Union (OCADSU). All new first-year undergrads are welcome!
