Sharifa Khan finalist in RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards

The Vice-Chair of OCAD University’s Board of Governors has been named a finalist in the national business awards recognizing the country’s leading female entrepreneurs. Sharifa Khan is one of three finalists for the TELUS Trailblazer category of the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards.

President and CEO of Balmoral Marketing Inc., Khan is a pioneer in the field of multicultural marketing with more than 30 years’ experience. In 2013 she joined the OCAD U Board of Governors as an external member.

The awards are an initiative of Women of Influence, an organization dedicated to advancing women globally. A record-breaking 6,400 women entrepreneurs from coast to coast were nominated for this year’s awards, with 18 finalists named. All nominees are required to submit through applications, which are reviewed and judged by a panel of prominent business leaders. The winners will be announced November 22, 2017 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.
