Celebrate Spring at grOCAD's plant propagation workshop! Join us at the Learning Zone next Wednesday April 3rd to learn the basics of plant propagation using seeds and cuttings.
It’s a hands-on workshop so be prepared to get your hands dirty between 2 – 4 pm

grOCAD is a group of students, faculty and staff who are working together to integrate plant life to our everyday experience by cultivating areas in and around OCAD U’s campus. grOCAD’s aim is to increase healthy food accessibility, encourage discourse about how plants improve quality of life and heighten awareness to urban agricultural practices.

Last summer grOCAD celebrated their community garden bounty with a Salad Day event held in the Learning Zone. This year grOCAD will be joined by the Cooking Club, who will be making homemade and delicious salad dressings from scratch.
Join grOCAD and the Cooking Club at the Lambert Lounge in the Main Building at noon then take a walk over to grOCAD’s community garden to harvest greens for the Salad Day event.

You're invited to join OCAD U Health & Wellness, Campus Life, and student groups for #BellLetsTalk Day on January 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lobby of 100 McCaul St for hot chocolate, tea and treats, freebies and self-care tips. Mental health affects us all. Join the conversation by sharing your ideas for how we can take better care of both ourselves and others, and help end the stigma of mental illness.

grOCAD Exhibition is the latest installation in the Learning Zone. This exhibition highlights grOCAD’s explorations, workshops and on-campus installations focusing on urban agriculture and sustainable practices since the group’s inception in 2011.
grOCAD is one of OCAD University many diverse student groups on campus, with an active interest in community building through plant life.
On exhibit are a small series of colour prints of concept drawings illustrating the creative process behind the works installed on campus, or exhibited at gallery shows. Projects include the Pedal Farm Exhibition, Living Wall, 3rd iteration of Windowfarm, Moss Exhibition, and raised planters constructed during O-days.
The Learning Zone is wheelchair accessible with two Gender-Neutral washrooms..

ABOUT OCAD U CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP:
Affiliated with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, the OCF cultivates spiritual growth and fosters community through prayer meetings, community meals, and art discussion groups. An affiliation with the Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada allows members to participate in events such as retreats, seminars and conferences. Christian and non-Christian students, faculty and staff interested in participating amongst an OCAD U community of believers are welcome.
